Last year I happened across Andrew Price’s excellent seminar. Initially, my intention was to make it my second blog post but the link was mislaid and it eluded me until yesterday when I happened across it again. Although Andrew is a graphic artist, the seven points he makes have application for all creatives whether they are screenwriters, playwrights, novelists, filmmakers or whatever.
For myself, point 2 ‘Volume: not perfection’ has helped immensly over this last year as I have sought not to get bogged down in seeking perfection in one script at the expense of others I could be creating or producing. Again, the skinny of his 20+ min talk can be found at the bottom but I would really recommend watching it as I think there is something in it for everyone.
